We Discovered A Sleeping Sentry

John our college age son was most intrigued by a next day visit to the Castillo (castle) that was constructed over the eleventh and twelfth century and is a major tourist attraction and we admired the view an took a lot of pictures around the castle.

My wife and I loved the peaceful view of the Mediterranean set against the pine clad hills and the city. Our younger daughter Mary loved touring the inside of the castle and the Palau del Governador Museum.

With two college-aged family members and their interest in history and ancient culture the other museums in Denia such as the Museo Etnologico. All of us loved the bit of a shopping spree along the main road of Calle de Marques de Campo. I must admit I had a secret yearning for golf and discovered the nearby Denia golf club.

Every member of our family loved discovering the beauty of the region along the N 332 highway. Our daughter Mary suggested a ride on the narrow gauge railway between Denia, Benidorm, and Alicante. This year round working city within the shadows of Mount Montgo. My wife became concerned when John our son expressed a desire to wind surf in the reflected wind from the Mediterranean Sea in the active water sport region.
